Would Kingdom/Empire of the Ghouls Work As A Movie?

My knowledge consists mostly of the original Dungeon module, but I would be delighted for anyone who has Wolfgang Baur's updated adventure to fill in or suggest details from there...

I was just thinking that the Kingdom of the Ghouls might make a good premise for a D&D movie. It would have a zombie survival horror vibe, epic battles in underground caves, a badass ghoul king and lich consort with built in sorcerous powers. There is room for a rare dragon, a drow ghost, and dwarf powered humour. It is an adventure where a cleric might actually make sense to everyone, not just gamers. Blood, guts, and glory! Nail-biting suspense! Foes who can make even respectable heroes cry for their mommies! What else could you want?

Really.

Tell me, have you read Piratecats storyhour? Because if you haven't I think you certainly should. I believe that there is a large segment of it which is either based on or inspired by the White Kingdom, and a jolly good read it is too.

How many years have we been waiting for an update now, ;) ?

Maybe we should tell PirateCat that if he updates his Storyhour we will put it a good word with the alien horrors of the Far Realm. I think he will know what we mean, ;) .

Having read the book, I think it'd be too trash for general audience.

It could make a fun horror movie though.
