i would have interest in seeing such threads (obviously, mainly for the products I would _consider_ buying/looking at). It is one of the first things that drew me to EN World back when 3.0 wasn't even out yet! There would be lists of all the "dropped hints/rumors/previews" -- I always like that sort of information as it helps shape how much continued interest I have in a product or concept. Having said that, it'd be a lot of work. Plus, it runs the risk of people not realizing a snip of information may not be a complete picture and arguing/commenting on the incomplete info.. if doing it by threads, it would be a thread per product (which would be unwieldy in the number of threads that means this type of thing would even need (ad some getting updates ofen, some not0. Or by month of release or something. But that would make it difficult to cross reference if you don't know the release date. (Month of "rumor" wouldn't work since it would spread a product's information over several threads rather than one thus defeating th purpose)... Anyway, my point in saying all that -- I like information like this. But to put it in practice in a thread seems a litle unwieldy? If it works, I'm all for it! The announcemet page may be good enough (relative output value to the amount of work involved, etc.). Another possibility... on occasion, i do see "previews" and snippets on the review pages efore the product comes to light. How about adding a new section to that for "rumors" that can get updated ? Or else "cloning" the reviews section to make a brand new "preview section" ? yes.. lots of work... i'm rambling... just sharing some thoughts, that's all. :)
