Granted, not the duck... not that good of a shot...), fish... slaughter my own animals, thank you very much, and I've even made stuff from the deer hide. I grow my own food (Well... some of it. I don't have enough land to grow ALL of it, my entire garden is only about a half-acre), I can generaly tell "Edible" for "poison" in plants, and know what parts of a plant constitute "seed" for later planting.Not ALL of us are incapable of surviving on our own <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /> Making eagle scout goes a long way, but that doesn't teach you a lot of that stuff.And, as far as having a usefull trade... I can sew, do simple leather work, I'm a passable carpenter for non-detail work, and am an aprentice smith... yes, blacksmiths do still exist, even in the US of A. There are a number of other things I could theoreticly maybe do... in theory, I know how to bind a book, make paper, etc. Never done any of those, except tried to make paper a few times in the comfort of my own home, but I do theoreticly know how.</blockquote>
