[Writers] Freeport/Living Arcanis opportunity

Greetings all. I found this when snooping around the Green Ronin boards. Sounds like if you have a grasp of Freeport and Paradigm Concept's Arcanis world, this might be a good opportunity! I don't know jack about Arcanis, but I thought that not many writers peruse the GR boards for jobs, so here's the bulk of the post:

"Among other things, I need two scenarios set in Freeport-in-Arcanis. These scenarios would actually be sold to Paradigm Concepts, who would then get them to me for a first-run at the con. After that they'd be freely available to anyone, just like the two from the con a few months ago. They should take about three hours to play.
These scenarios would be part of the larger Living Arcanis campaign, which of course has its own idiosyncrasies, and I'd be happy to help explain them. You can post your questions here or e-mail them privately, but a good place to start would be www.livingarcanis.com.
The Paradigm guys have final say on what they're buying, of course, and they're looking for more Arcanis stuff than just Freeport, but right now my concern is getting stuff for my con.
Cheers.
Dale"

Heya, Nightfall! Even if my schedule wasn't booked, I doubt I could intake the Arcanus setting in time to contribute anything. Just thought I'd drag this thread into the light here so others might get a crack at it. :D

Ah so you're doing top secret work eh? :) Cool. Well when the NDAs come down, email me to let me know if it's scoopworthy. :)

Er, not really. Just busy. If you're truly interested I can email you my projects. :)

Just so you know, Dale has already written and run those particular events. Living Arcanis (and the world of Arcanis) has quickly become my favorite campaign. I have DM'ed the entire first years story arc and an amazing published Source Book/Living Campaign adventure, "Carnival of Swords" by Arcanis author Scott Charlton.

Even if you don't have time to change gears and start writing for LA, it's definately worth looking into and playing if you get the chance. It's really the best written Living campaign out there. The Codex is well written (despite a few editing issues) and best of all the Gods have NO ALINGMENT...! It's the worshippers of the Gods who are good or evil. There's lots of other reasons to check out Arcanis... ever wonder why dwarves build those giganitic cities under the earth with such high vaulted ceilings? Arcanis has an iteresting reason.

Anyway... though this particular oppurtunity to get involved with LA is closed, there are many more to come.

The best source for LA news is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LA_talk/messages

and PCI at: http://paradigmconcepts.com/

Hope you become as avid a fan of Arcanis as I.

respectfully-

Edward J Kopp

We're still open for submissions

Hello everyone,

While Dale's Con has indeed come and gone (and was a blast from all the feedback we've been getting), we're still interested in getting Freeport/Arcanis mods for future events.

As it was previously mentioned, Green Ronin's excellent Freeport setting was ported into the Arcanis world setting. People playing the RPGA sanctioned Living Arcanis campaign enjoy the opportunity to play in both settings and we'd like to continue that tradition.

As such, we'd be very happy to accept adventure submissions set in either Freeport/Arcanis or for that matter, anywhere else in Arcanis. Please send in a short synopsis of the adventure first as we don't want anyone to spend alot of time writing a scenario that doesn't fit the setting and send it to hlopez@paradigmconcepts.com . The scenario should take about four hours to finish as this is the usual time allotted at Cons for RPGA events.

Also, anyone who has a yearning to write a similar adventure in Atlas Games' Nyambe: African Adventures should feel free to contact me for other writing opportunities.

For further information, contact me at the above email addy or check out our websites: www.livingarcanis.com and www.paradigmconcepts.com .

Thanks,
