Howdy folks, I'm going to be running a Werewolf: The Apocalypse game for a friend of mine. He wanted the setting to be in the Appalachian wilderness, playing as a Bone Gnawer "up in them thar hills." Since this is his first game, I'd like to keep things pretty simple and stick to well known W:tA tropes. Fight the Good Fight, Pentex and Black Spiral Dancers, Save the Earth, A Betrayal, a deep delve into the Umbra for some McGuffin, Holy crap the caern is in trouble, etc. That's all well and good, but fitting that into a very rural setting and making it interesting is giving me the fits. I'm looking for some sources of inspiration, or perhaps locations or scenarios or people or anything that would fit a remote Appalachian area. I'm not afraid to camp it up. Any bones you could toss my way would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
