My apologgies for not responding earlier. I had talked with Wulf about maybe taking levels of cleric or fighter while retaining my paladin status, and while he was open to that, he encouraged me to look into Hospitaler as a prestige class. (It's one of the very few he can qualify for with his stats and skills distributed as they are - I hadn't started Kellan with the intention of going to a PrC.) Taking a level of cleric obviously has great synergy with the increased spellcasting levels Hospitaler gives, but it also works for the character, who is not your typical egotistical "awful good" kind of paladin - Kellan is very concerned with helping others and protecting his comrades along with beating the stuffing out of evildoers. Also, as the campaign has progressed, it is obvious that there will be an opportunity for Kellan to be set up in a situation that will give the "stay at home and protect the hospital" requirements of the PrC more than lip service. (All this reminds me that I should put a character description up with my stats above.) As for Hospitaler being being ripe for abuse, I do not want to min/max my character to the bleeding edge of l33t gaming technology, and I know Wulf would ask me to modify the character if anything about him becomes too unbalancing for what we're encountering. We're all just there Wednesday nights to have fun, after all. In hindsight, I would have created Kellan as a paladin of Pelor instead of Heironeous if I had known more about the Greyhawk gods when I was creating him. Actually, I think the coolest would be a human paladin of Bahamut... but that's an entirely different character all together...
