Played it? I love it and plan to put a ring on it. I can't praise this game enough. I have to repeat what was written on various review sites. XCOM2 takes all the good from XCOM:EU and the Long War mod and doubles down on them. Everything just jells together seamlessly. It does feel more difficult and unforgiving, even more so than Long War. I failed my first playthrough. I didn't realize how important it was to make contacts. I thought at first, I wouldn't like the timer on most missions but it wasn't as bad as I feared. It makes sense that you wouldn't have a lot of time because you're basically on the run the entire campaign. The character pool is a nice addition. My friends saved their characters and one of them showed up as a Dark VIP. He didn't make it to the extraction point. Sad, that. There are a few bugs. The sound is muffled sometimes or the music stops playing. The camera also occasionally goes to where the action isn't. And an enemy got levitated a few feet and stabbed in the crotch instead of the head with a Skulljack. I don't know how much information is stored in the nards but it was fun to see. But those bugs are minor and I'm sure they'll be solved soon.
