X2 Score

What are your thoughts on the X2 soundtrack? I haven't listened much to it, but it seems to work fine. And by fine I mean that just a while a go Sweden dropped Finland from the icehockey world championship games, and after listening just one track my insidious thoughts and feelings are almost gone.

Do you think it might work as a background music for D&D?

I remember that in the movie it seemed to work fine, but games are pretty different. So, any thoughts? And feel free to pimp other soundtracks for gaming use, or otherwise! :)

Bought the score ten minutes after seeing the movie.

There's a lot of choral work in this (not speaking or singing, by wordless vocals, usually altos). This really gives the music a supernatural, awe-inspiring element. Interestingly, the score does not feature Mozart's Requiem (the Dies Irae) that's featured in Nightcrawler's assault on the White House.

Is this a good score for rping? I think so. The main theme for the X-Men (featured superbly in the Suite and in the final track) is absolutely appropriate for a group of stalwart heroes. Great stuff. Track 9 (featuring Magneto's jail break) is great music for a powerful wizard or cleric.

Highly recommended.
