So the racial feats in Xanathar's Guide cover the races in the PHB. Dragonborn kinda got the shaft. The 2 feats available to them don't feel up to par to be worth taking over an ability increase. One turns you breath weapon use into a fear effect while another gives you armor equivalent to the Draconic Sorcerous origin ability along with claws, and both feats give a bonus to 1 of 3 stats. Dwarves made out a little better. One of the 2 feats available give increased movement and advantage on skill checks, while the other one lets you regain hp when you use the dodge action. Both of the feats give a stat bonus, though only one of them gives you a choice in what stat to bump. Elves made out like bandits, or I should say High Elves did. Each of the subraces gets one or a few spells that can cast for each of their subracial feats, but the High Elves get a feat that lets them uses misty step and bump up an ability score. The best feat however is the one for elves/half elves that makes advantage on attack rolls even sweeter. Gnomes get a reaction invisibility feat that works pretty much like the spell and gives them a stat bump. The other feat they get is shared with dwarves. Half-elves get access to the nice elven feat that improves advantage on attack rolls, plus a feat they share with humans and half orcs that grant tool and skill proficiencies, along with the rogue Expertise ability to one of their Skill/Tool proficiencies. Half-Orcs share one of there feats with Half-Elves and Humans as mentioned before, plus one that lets them bump up a weapon hit's damage, give an ability boost, and gain an attack off one of their racial abilities. Halflings share a feat with gnomes and Dwarves, but their other feat allows them to sort of share their lucky trait. Humans got one feat they shared with Half-elves and Half-orcs. Tieflings got 2 feats, one gets you more resistances, and the other improves your fire damage. Both feats improve an ability score. Hope this help people get an idea of what to expect from the racial feats in Xanathar's guide to everything.
