Xbox 2 to include standard wireless controllers

Got the new EGM and they have a page on next gen console tidbits, including that some developers have told that the latest design of the Xbox 2 controllers moves the Black & White buttons to the shoulders (yeah!).

Surely this is a false rumor, that's one of the great advancements in console gaming is the ability to hook up more than two controllers for party games and simpy when you have guests that want to play 4 person halo 2.

You'd think that, but both Gamespy and IGN have Xbox 2 articles pointing it out.

I'm just hoping that it's simply "preliminary specs" - but based on Microsoft's apparent strategy that online is 'teh awsome', I'm still a bit skeptical that they have any place for splitscreen party games...
