The expanded knowledge feat allows you to take one additional power from of any level less than the highest you can manifest, even from a different list or class. From a different list is pretty simple, it is already in the format of a power. How does one learn a magic spell (arcane or divine) as a Psion? I've come up with the following problems: 1. How do components translate into displays? Verbal and somatic components are pretty easy to get rid of, as are non-costly focus and material components. But what about costly material components? Should it be 1 XP for every 5 gp? Should it be dropped? Some powers have no xp cost when the equivalent spell would, and some have an xp cost that the spell lacks. Compare cure light wounds to body adjustment. At level 5, body adjustment heals 1d12 for 5 pp, while a cure light wounds cures 1d8+5 (3 more average healing) for just 1 pp, and can be used on others or to hurt undead. Should spells be assigned a discipline instead of a school? 2. How does scaling work? A literal copy of any spell wouldn't be augmentable, but would get level-dependent benefits at a fixed spell level and PP cost. It would also be possible to give variable spells the minimum possible effect, with augmentation pumping it up, but it's not a clean conversion in all cases. 3. What classes are available? Bards get some spells at multiple levels lower than Clerics or Wizards, there is no reason not to take them as such. Greater Scrying, for instance. There is no "greater remote viewing", and the standard remote viewing has an XP cost.
