[XPH] Need help with Thri-Kreen PW/IS

I'm trying to min/max a Thri-kreen Psychic Warrior/Illithid Slayer with as many attacks per round as possible. ECL is 15. 28-point buy. All WotC books allowed.

Here is what i have so far. Comments/Suggestions are welcome. With form of doom from the psicrown, i have 14 attacks per round.

Probably from the form of doom power, which gives you four tentacle attacks.

Note that the bracers of dexterity should technically cost more money, because bracers don't have the same affinity as do gloves.
 

Or why not take the gloves in the first place? The slot is still free. ;)

Boots of Speed? Or is there any haste effect already?

Thanks for the input. Yes the 4 additional attacks come from the form of doom.

As for the gloves, i'm thinking that wearing it does not allow me to use claw attacks. Comments?

Are there any other item slots that have the same affinity as the gloves? Looking back at my item list, the vest of health might not fit with the affinities.. Maybe a shirt instead? Any suggestions? I'd like to keep the bonuses to con and dex..

Can thri-kreen wear boots? If so, then i could get a pair of boots and then make it 15 attacks!

The other thing that i'm thinking might have a problem is the ring, which i'm not sure if thri-kreen can wear rings..

Looking at the picture of a thri-kreen, i'm sure they can wear a headband, lenses, amulet, vest(although it might have to have 4 arm holes), unusual sized armor(due to 4 arms), belt, cloak, and bracers.

The only things i'm not sure of are gloves, rings, and boots.

Thoughts?

Also, i plan to extend this build up to epic levels. However, ECL might be a problem? When does a thri-kreen reach epic level?

Would using a non-psionic thri-kreen make sense in this build? Not sure if it does since its taking PW and IS levels.

All characters reach epic levels when they have more than 20 class levels (total levels from classes, as opposed to ECL)

If you don't really feel comfortable with using some of the slots for your thri-kreen, you could always talk to Brainiac about it. I'm sure the two of you could work something out, he's a fairly reasonable fellow when he's not killing us off :p
 

I read in Unearthed Arcana, you can buy off LA with XP at certain levels. I'm thinking that might be a good option when combined with non-psionic thri-kreen. Even if its just the regular thri-kreen, it should be a pretty good option nonetheless.

Vest and Shirt are the same slot.

As for boots - sure they can wear boots. A thri-kreen's boots won't be the same as a human's boots, but that's okay because magic boots adjust to the wearer. Or you could just have them made for a thri-kreen. Either one, really.

Looking at the artwork, I'd imagine a thri-kreen's boot to be open toed so as to not interfere with their foot's function in climbing, with the length of the boot running up to just under the lower-most joint in the leg. So the sole of the boot would go from the ball of the foot to the heel, probably with straps in between the toes, and the neck of the boot running up to around their ankle. If that makes sense, heh.
 

The shirt and vest are the same slot, but they have different affinities. The shirt has the physical improvement affinity. Improving Con should match it i think.

As for the boots, maybe some sandals might be a better fit. Sandals of speed.. yeah.. that's the way or instead we could do flip-flops of speed :lol:
