Here is a overview map of a keep I'm designing.

What I'm looking to find out, would people actually pay for high quality maps?

Even if it looked like this?

Or this?

Keep in mind, It's not finished yet. I'm wondering if people would be interested in the actual model, possibly including furniture and the graphics software needed to use the files?

Interesting

There'd have to be some interesting, logically connected, and useable maps drawn on some sort of grid before I'd even consider it, though.

I'm puzzled by the existance of the ramp leading up to the top-most tower/wall. I'm also puzzled by the existance of the tower-wall in the middle of the outer bailey.

There's no reason for the ramp, and the tower-wall in the outer bailey is too high for archers, obstructs fire from many other walls, and is a darn poor substitute for a proper gatehouse. The tower alone should be sufficient, especially if there's no entrance at ground level, if you REALLY want to keep it. Because, you see, the tower still creates a "dead space" where attackers are safe from defenders on certain parts of the walltops.

Fairly spiffy cad stuff there - have to agree some of it is impractical and the engineer would be lynched but it looks pretty. I buy maps and mapping books with regularity and done right you could do good with this (look at Backdrops by Atlas, or Seven ______).

I think the competion for mapping dollars is about to get tighter - the Cartographica by Gamble comes out later this year, we have already had the KoK Atlas, and I expect that other (WotC) unemployed cartographers will seek similar kinds of arrangements.

Actually, the design is based on the concept of "killzones".

The entire keep (not finished) is actually a something of a huge gatehouse. The actual living quarters are back into the mountainside, as a deephall. Even if an attacker has the capacity to break through the defenses, it will cost him dearly.

Oh, and the tower and inner wall: They serve double needs. The wall allows added fire outside the great wall, and allows them to drop things on attackers coming in through the gatehouse. Heavy, burning, nasty things... Like burning lead, sand, tar, or whatever else they have heating up. Arrow and crossbow fire is still possible just by stepping up on the wall and firing downward.

Once they pass the inner wall, then the keep begins on them. They then concentrate on the survivors that got past the first kill zone.

Oh, yes... This keep is based on a D&D style world that has access to magical spells, such as Wall of Stone. Keep that in mind when considering the design.

Problem with nice graphical illustrations like that is they are not much use in game. If something isn't that useful to me in game then I won't buy it.
