You can spend a spell slot and concentrate as if on a spell for up to one hour to give the familiar a bonus to damage and to HP equal to 1d6 per spell level.This way there is a use for the concentration stuff, and a die for it to upgrade at higher levels, without nerfing FF the rest of the time.</blockquote>
