I'm certainly willing to give it a try, though finding ways to challenge you will be rough; I think you're the highest-level YBA! character around. I've just started running an adventure for Lovecraft, which may give you an idea of my style (though I don't plan to go that slow all the time. :-D

What's your character background like? What sort of personality does he have? What are his goals and ambitions? Yeah, a character-driven YBA! game... will wonders never cease? ;-)

A single character chat YBAer does get too high levels quickly. Kind of short on Yen compared to other characters though.

Monderefal is a high elven cleric from a rather poor background, early in his life he joined the Clergy of Corellion, during his first adventure he encountered a Kobold named Grim, who tricked him into killing an innocent. Monderefal was plunged into grief for some time by this, but didn't sink into depression, instead he vowed to never allow evil to accomplish such acts on others. Monderefal's personality is curious, pessimistic and rather rash, though he does tend to be polite to a fault. His current goal is to set up a school in which he can teach young warriors the ways of the Holy Warrior (ie Pick up Gang Boss). In the long term, he still seeks out the Kobold Grim who dishonoured him so well.

(Grim the Kobold is an NPC Sollir threw at me, in Monderefal's very first session and he's had recurring appearances since.)

OK, cool. I'll sleep on it, and hopefully I'll have something for you by tomorrow. In the meantime, any info you'd like to provide about Monderefal's world/setting would be helpful too (even if it's just "generic fantasy setting"). I might not set the adventure there, but at least I'll know where you're coming from. :-)

EDIT: Bah. My host obviously doesn't allow offsite linking.

EDIT - All done. Can you see the picture in my battleframe or is it a little square with an X through it?

You have traveled for months in search of adventure. Recently, you heard rumors of war amid the squabbling lords of the Hundred Kingdoms. Soon it was more than rumor; you followed the trails of refugees and the columns of smoke, to find ruined lands and fields of blood. Corpses lie strewn about in each of the villages you pass through, their blank faces full of flies. Worse, as you penetrate deeper into the war zone, you see roads lined with hundreds of crucified bodies, people left to die of exposure over days of pain and terror.

Conversation with the few survivors you meet indicate that the responsible parties are the lords of the cities of Redrock, Seven Hills and Tarven, who have united to conquer the entire Hundred Kingdoms. Their lurid tales go on to speak of orcish war-parties, shambling half-human, half-animal hybrids, undead legions and battle-necromancers, all in service to the Three Lords. And now, having traveled by night toward the center of the evil, you peer over a hillside at dawn to see an army encamped below you, on the route to Redrock. Their weapons glint in the morning light as they prepare to march.

What do you do?

Murmuring a prayer to Corellon, Monderefal draws his cloak tightly around himself, raises his hood and wills his heavenly aura to dull its light. He then walks confidently down the most direct and obvious route to the army camp.
