a.k.a. Shawn of the Dead: The RPG! :)

Actually, this is great timing. There are no less than 3 zombie movies coming out this summer.

You know, I always knew Tampa was full of zombies. Too quiet and all.
I wanna see them try to reach Miami. :]

It is such a relief and a joy to finally see this in the process of publication. The combination of John Milner and Tim Willard is (dare I say it), the most dynamic duo to hit gaming since Pen and Paper. This will rock on toast. Bloody, bloody toast. With bits of brain. And maybe jam.

For those of you interested, this is more than just a few zombies and thier attack patterns, but it also covers how and why civilization collapses, what happens to various law enforcement, public service and military organizations, including threats beyond just the zombies.

Up armored vehicles with more hitpoints, military equipment, hazards beyond zombies, some useful maps and plenty of NPC's are included in this book.

For AdC's there are only a few, as the book focuses primarily on the slow collapse of civilization.

  • Den Mother AdC
  • Lawman PrC
  • Feral Child AdC

As far as zombies go, there are only a few, but they are the most common types. Sample zombies are included.

Rules for bartering, gunshot severed limbs, the insanity rules from Bad Axe Games, pregnancy and gunshot wounds, location outlines, and a lot more is included.

I playtested it pretty hard too, multiple groups of varying experience with d20 Modern, multiple GM's, different types of games and modules.

And yes, this core book will be supported. There are a few tie-ins and supplements already in the works.

  • Rotting Sites: Small towns with detailed areas and what happened
  • Rotting Backdrops: Tie-in with Modern Backdrops, co-written with the author
  • Vossburg Superfortress: Tie-in with Vossburg Supermax Prison
  • Meatwagons and Hearses: Modifying vehicles, as well as multiple vehicle types and designs.
  • Over a dozen other books in progress, including modules that span for T+72 hours to the Rising, all the way to adventures that take place 15 years after The Rising begins.

As you can tell, I am excited about this, but I have to warn you, the book is intended for mature audiences only.

T-24 and counting

24 hours to go until the end of the world as we know it.

We are on schedule and still planning to release for the 24th, watch this space.
