[QUOTE="Celebrim, post: 6095692, member: 4937"] Like I said, he has a full page on muzzle loaders and he covers smooth bore weapons. The only thing really needed to go back all the way to the beginning is noting how long it takes to load matchlock, wheellock, and flintlock weapons if you wished to differentiate between them. This represents virtually no problem, as you could do it in like two sentences. If you really wanted to get realistic, you could have something reflex save DC's to avoid misfires when using muzzle loaders of different types under different environmental conditions, as almost everything in the evolution of firearms prior to 1850 was ultimately all about increased reliability in a moist environment but I'm not sure that Ken ever intended to get that level of detail in his rules nor am I sure that I would regularly enforce misfire rules as most systems I've seen seem to greatly overstate the problems. Aside from a quibble I have over the length of time required to reload flintlocks, the rules are perfectly adequate back to about 1700. I can cover things like the Kentucky Rifle or a Queen Anne's Pistol under the rules he has. And as I said, it requires but about 1 sentence differentiating loading times to get us back to 1300, because the rules describe guns genericly by bore diameter and barrel length and are so cover just about every thing you could come up with.
