His power and insight grew in matters both mundane and arcane until he became aware of a great conflict that had broken out with the foolish lords of Heaven in the distant realm that is the World. Knowing of the significance that this unique world held he plotted and schemed, convincing other lords, who foolishly believed themselves to be more powerful than him, to make a grab for the great prize that the world is. Due to his dark designs the children of the West came to suffer. He allowed the fool lords to face the lords of Heaven and the great mortal champions that arose from the unwashed masses of the World, while he danced the great dance of treachery and deceit. As the forces of Hell marched through the lands of men slaying or enslaving all in their way, he was there to bind the living as well as the dead with his chains and when the foolish lords fell before great champions he was there to rally their abandoned servants under his banner and so he came to rule that which others had conquered. </p><p></p><p></p><p>“The beast reared its head in anger and a mighty roar was brought forth from his maw. Truly a show of primordial and ancient power. Its wings extended and spread out it seemed so strong and proud, yet all its grandeur only hid its impotence. For all its might and age, wisdom and power, this ancient and eternal being was naught but a slave. For this is the fate of many dragons, who once held dominion over the world.”</p><p></p><p></p><p>In the end he proclaimed himself the God of Chains, the Great Jailer of the World, who had come to this world to bind fiend and mortal alike to his will. On the ruins of a once thriving land, once proud homeland of the gnomes, he has built himself a mighty empire built on the toil of dead and living slaves whether they be man, fiend or abomination. In countless mines they endure servitude for the joy of their master, mining the ore that is forged into the very chains that bind them. Metal and mind, soul and spirit all are bound by him. For this he is hated by the Pale Lord who seeks to free the dead and by the Lord Protector who wishes to free the living. </p><p></p><p></p><p>“Beware the blind who serve the all seeing”</p><p></p><p></p><p>That which he does not enslave he manipulates for he has diviners and shifters of shape, spies and assassins near him and dispersed throughout the World, granting him knowledge and influence on things both mundane and arcane. The World is truly but a great game to him in which he plays the Lords of the World against each other. So many things he has come to know, such as the secrets of the People Of The Mist, the cause of their inexplicable immunity to the dread Serewail. Yet he does not share nor take advantage of this knowledge in a direct manner for he prefers to see the other Lords weaken themselves in foolish attempts to crush the Patrons. Every failure on their part brings him closer to his final goal, the consolidation of the Broken Lands, becoming the unquestioned ruler of all fiends and their mortal chattel. Only then will he unleash his wrath on the weaklings of the Last Refuge.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Description</p><p></p><p></p><p>He has so many shapes and forms that he has himself forgotten what or who he once was. Was he male or female, born in Hell or on some distant plane with mortal blood in his veins, he knows not. At the heart of his web he enjoys his victories surrounded by the spoils of success, precious metals, gems, art and other precious and priceless objects that he has stolen from the mortals of the World. </p><p></p><p></p><p>Illvataris, (Ill: The; Va: One; Taris: Traitor)</p><p>The Queen of Despair, Mistress of Might</p><p></p><p></p><p>The mightiest of dragons was once Draina the Golden and whom the dragon known as Ilvataris could not stand. Many dragons had sided with the forces of Heaven and had fallen before the encroaching darkness while others had chosen to side with Hell and ended up as mounts or slaves to the lords of Hell. This was not to be her fate, for as Draina shaped the events of the world by creating the first of the Drainen, she too plotted and planned. She offered her services to fiend and mortal alike, playing them against each other and gaining power and influence over both. Terrified mortals came to pray to her hoping to avoid loosing their lives and souls to the fiends. Masses of refugees unable to flee to the Last Haven came to her in despair and offered their allegiance to her if she would only protect them from the minions of Hell. Out of the remnants of shattered realms she made her own kingdom which has endured for a thousand years. She has become the Queen of Despair, the Mistress of Might, greatest of dragons for the blood of the gods flows through her and from her into the hands of her faithful. She as so many dragons uses the Drainen as her champions and she hoards the shades of her dead subjects and makes them serve her even in death. </p><p></p><p></p><p>Description</p><p></p><p></p><p>She is a truly awesome sight as she rises from the murky depths of her ancient and stagnant lake with water dripping from her black scales. A huge serpent of old, one of the oldest of her kind, she appears almost skeletal with her sinewy muscles standing out like thick hemp ropes and her horns and claws gleaming wickedly. Her visage is filled with malevolence and spite, and who knows what dark thought are hidden by the her narrow eyes. </p><p></p><p>---------</p><p></p><p>there´s two fiendlords known to enslave the dead.
