Anyone else playing the wonders that is puzzle pirates. This is perhaps my favorite game at the moment, and until the 8th a limited verison is free. Then I gotsa pay my dues of 50$ for 2 years. To bads I wasn't part of the alpha and got me a lifetime membership.

For those not in the know it be a game of pirates whose tasks are solved by puzzles, tetris like puzzles. And if ye be lookin for a fight the dueling mechainc is like the capcom game of old puzzle fighters.

Tried it, thought it was cute. I like the minigames, but they tend to be somewhat repetitive, and the lack of information during the beta made it difficult for me to be motivated to do much. That, and it suffered what most MMOGs suffer from: those who can afford to be online more often get more out of the game than more casual players. That's not necessarily a problem, but a discincentive for me, as I'm not in college anymore. :)

I really do like the fact that it's a MMOG that's truly different, and not just Everquest with different models. It's also nice to see an online game that's more than just "go over there and beat the hell out of that thing".
