This thread is for the discussion of your best and most effective, most dangerous, perhaps even your most terrifying tricks, either as a DM/GM or as a Player.
What extremely clever and crafty things have you ever done, what amazing tricks or deceptions have you ever mastered, what misinformation or disinformation have you ever circulated that led to results beyond (perhaps even far beyond) any you ever expected.
The best trick I ever pulled as a player was called, The Ruse of the Quicksilver Heart.
I won’t go into specific details because I’m using that ruse as apart of the plot of a book of fiction I’m writing, but basically it involved placing silver in the body of a vicious and powerful werewolf (who was suspected, but protected by his titles of nobility) surreptitiously and without suspicion on his part (and without violence or injury to the nobleman) until it was too late and the silver had infiltrated his bloodstream.
Actually the nobleman placed the silver in his own body, without realizing he had done so, because of the ruse I pulled. By the time he realized what had happened it was already killing him.
I also often prepare and use simple, basic chemicals, which have had great effect in certain circumstances. I’ll discuss those uses later on.
In addition, I’ve pulled a few good tricks as a DM/GM as well. I’ll also discuss those at another time.
For now it’s your turn.
How’s tricks?
