So after a minute or so, I decide to skip him, only to receive a message: "sorry, I was looking up the stats for the owlbear."I have no qualms with you taking advantage of what you know from past experience, you may even read the MM in your free time, but please don't be reading from the MM during the session, especially if the method of researching prevents us from communicating with you. Fortunately I was able to just tell him that and we could continue on. At some point I may have to explain to them how that cuts into our gaming time and is frankly a little rude that you'll ignore the game to be trying to metagame a victory.</blockquote>
