Message: <blockquote data-quote="Dannyalcatraz" data-source="post: 5792385" data-attributes="member: 19675">I was an army brat, so where I found a sport has something to do with who I root for.I root for the Saints 'cause that's my hometown.  (I root against the Cowboys since so many of my friends my whole life have been Cowboys fans who crow about their "America's Team" moniker...)I root for the Spurs because I (re)discovered basketball in San Antonio when I was in college, during the dawn of the David Robinson era.  And they played D- I like D.I root for the Texas Rangers because I discovered baseball in 1982, when our family moved to D/FW.I root for FC Dallas because they are the local MLS team.I root for the Stars because they are the local NHL team.I root for the NJ Devils because they used to be the Colorado Rockies, who introduced me to hockey when I lived in Denver.  When we moved to Kansas, we got no NHL games, so I didn't find that out for many years- I thought they were just defunct- and the Avalanche were not in existence.  So I rediscovered hockey when Dallas got the Stars, then uncovered the history of the Devils.</blockquote>
