Nightfall, I suspect you may be right. Scarred Lands had potential, but it became bloated too quickly. As someone who was interested in learning about it, I found it frustrating that I needed the DM screen to generate characters, another book to find out about the religions, another book to find out about secret orders etc. and another book to know about the world. On some level, even if it's somewhat generic, all that info should be in one book. Then, if I want more detail, I can buy a book with more detail about a specific topic. But the main campaign book should give me what I need to get started. Maybe it was the way the setting came out and was conceptualized, I don't know. i believe the first book was Relics and Rituals, which was way cool. And it referred to things in a setting that didn't exist yet. But the book came from submissions by many different people. I'm curious if its success then led to the setting, and things were just made up as they went along. The aasathi were very cool though :) I'm trying to figure out a way to put them into my non-SL campaign. Banshee
