But I've often thought of the idea...magic is, afterall (in my game, at least) the summoning/harnessing of "arcane energies", bent to the will of the caster (through the ancient/forgotten/occult words/gestures/formulae) to the desired effect. </p><p></p><p>Consistent exposure to these un-/super-/preter-natural energies, it would seem, could easily be likened to one taking a shower in a nuclear reactor.</p><p></p><p>Again, just more to think on.
