Message: <blockquote data-quote="Rel" data-source="post: 1915150" data-attributes="member: 99">Yeah, read that thread, agreed with your sentiments and didn't feel the need for a "me too" post.Having given the matter a bit more thought as I drove to and from my job today, I think that what I'm seeing is that I can just leave Eberron alone and play out any themes that I like from Jhereg within the setting as is.  While I really like the setting of Dragaera and do promise to grab any d20 (or other system) sourcebook based around it, I would probably make the best use of it under conditions similar to those of the Jhereg novels (i.e. character(s) working their way up through the ranks of a criminal organization).The nice thing about Eberron is that if the players make those sorts of characters then I can make use of a lot of the same themes and plots from Jhereg without having to change much.  If they make characters that are totally different then I can go in other directions to accomodate that.And, Turhan, I guess you can chalk me up as another rabid Brust fan.  As it happens, the character I'm currently playing in a Mage: Dark Ages was inspired by the title character from the book Gypsy.  And I even based a lot of his background on some of the songs Brust used in that book (recorded by his band Boiled in Lead).  I've read some of his livejournal stuff and he seems like the kind of guy who I would really just love to have a beer with.  Very down to earth.As a final comment, Henry, you REALLY need to read at least the first book!  Unless you vehemently object, I'm giving you a copy when I see you at NC Game Day.  Consider it a late Christmas gift.</blockquote>
