I've been thinking about this for days and frankly, I just can't decide... I would love to play in ANY of the following: Low Fantasy - Gritty, dark world under siege/in upheaval. Serious roleplaying. Deep Space Traveller style game - Traders and tramps for hire. Star Frontiers - Have medpak will travel. Post Apocalyptic - Twilight 2000 style or even a high fantasy/PA variant Shadowrun - But only if the GM knew the world style cold. Historical Fantasy - Aye, I'm Scottish and you, you are CRAP!!!! Paranoia - Beer, Pretzels and Zaniness abound As for the perfect character in any of these settings, it would depend upon the mood during creation. I once played a 5.X D&D cleric modeled after a Soviet Russian, who took his first feat in martial weapons and dual wield just so he could use a hammer and sickle. For me, the "power" of a build is less important than the "style" of the build, regardless of the system. So, it's would honestly be anything goes. A dream game/system would be a practical Dr Who style setting (so far I've yet to see a good Dr Who RPG) with time and planar travel invoving problem solving of some sort whether thwarting an evil or right time inconsistencies like the old TV show Voyagers!
