Some good advice regarding Adventure Paths, for sure! Adventure Paths are one of the most complicated things we produce... and not in least because they're the product of dozens of different writers. I like to think that we're learning from feedback from readers—Council of Thieves is a direct result of complaints about Curse of the Crimson Throne's deviation from Korvosa in the second half of the adventure, for example. Even Rise of the Runelords was us responding to customer feedback (at the time, customers were tired of big-bad-end-guys who were powerful outsiders, which is what we did for our first three Adventure Paths in Dungeon magazine). That all said, there's a bit of time delay in our responses. By the time an Adventure Path begins, we're usually wrapping up the development of the next one, so by the time we've got solid feedback on an ENTIRE Adventure Path, we're already starting work on the one that's happening a year later. So when we heard folks were unsatisfied with how Curse of the Crimson Throne went off-target and left the city, we were already deep into working on Legacy of Fire. The next AP, Council of Thieves, was the first one we could really move on to address that issue. Same thing's happening with the "go to another dimension." When we were thinking of starting up Legacy of Fire, there was a LOT of interest among our customer base for the other planes, and so we built some plane hopping into the AP. Turns out, it was probably TOO much plane hopping, but we didn't really get solid feedback on that until late last year. By that point, we already had our authors working on Kingmaker. Now that said... I haven't yet started development on the last installment of Kingmaker, and while there is indeed some dimensional/planar aspect to it, I think (hope) that it's going to be pretty well received. And a significant portion of that last adventure will focus on protecting the kingdom you built from the menace at hand, with a climax that DOES take place in familiar territory. But you won't REALLY see the result of "enough with the other planes/dimensions!" until later this year, with the Serpent Skull adventure path... which is set 100% in Golarion. Anyway! Keep the feedback coming! I'll just be out joyriding in Erik's fancy car with his hot secretary for a while since someone upthread had the good sense to order him to get back to work...
