Quick question. What is the equivalent of Yuan ti in A5e? I suppose you could not use the name Yuan ti for "WOTC are a prick" issues

Thanks, I'll checknit out. But they are not in the Monstrous Menagerie with any other name? And if not, are there plans to put them on MM2?

Yuan-Ti have always been specifically called out as Product Identity under the OGL and don't appear in the 5E SRD.

Of course, WOTC doesn't own the idea of serpentfolk so you can have snake people and just call them anything you wish.

While the sinuous are serpent-people, they're pretty notably different from the yuan-ti. In particular, they're extremely good-coded and intended as a player heritage, not an NPC enemy faction. I'm very proud of them, but you'll have to reskin them pretty dramatically to use them as a yuan-ti stand-in.

Well fortunately, our amazing Level Up designers @Timespike and @Steampunkette have created two A5e serpentfolk heritages to work with, so we can all have what we want.

The 5e take on the Scarred Lands setting by Onyx Path Publishing has the serpent-like Asaathi. They were a race of Titanspawn who were originally created the Titan Mormo, Mother of Serpents. After the war between the Gods and the Titans ended, a number of Asaathi redeemed themselves and joined the rest of the PC races.
