Day 215: Maka vs Spider

Maka realizing that it is impossible to fire a bow at oneself, rationally forsakes it and draws his knife to use on the spider while attempting to heat the pest, unnaturally.

As Adisakti continues to run toward Taylar's aid, he is set upon by a new spider. Perhaps the movement was enough disturbance to call it forth from its hidden burrow farther away for this spider was not there when Taylar and Vittero passed the first time.

He whirls his staff at the spider cracking its carapace completely apart and sending the pest several strides through the air.

As Adisakti continues to run toward Taylar's aid, Raven Elk turns to run to the aid of Maka. Two strides into crossing the grass, a fifth spider launches itself from hiding as Raven Elk is running by.
