I'm ready to reactivate Rinaldo (and Hogarth) at anytime if Ashnar and/or Tenebrynn are still up. But we will need someone to DM them.

Technically, we're still stuck in a tunnel, aren't we? Would be a shame to abort another adventure, but that one doesn't look like it'll move after all.

Hey guys, I've been considering trying to dip my feet in the DMing waters, but before I go about trying to create an adventure, I've a couple problems to address.

Firstly: I have no mapmaking program(so best I could do is attempt a MSPaint map and upload it to Enworld itself), and I am not permitted any photo-hosting sites. Is there a rather simplistic mapmaking method I could use as an alternative?

Secondly: Is there a "Encounter-Design for Dummies" anywhere? The CR rating stuff sorta got me lost quickly.

1: Myself, I use battlemat (Here the map of my adventure). You need to upload you map (mine come from an adventure published in a pdf of Dungeon magazine), but you can probably find a lot of map on the web, or anything drawn by yourself.

You need to upload your token (All my token come from the web or the character generator). After that, only the master, and anyone allowed by the master can move, add or remove any token around. I love the simplicity of this website.

2: That is the trickiest thing about 3.5, one reason I preferred to run pre-made adventure. One thing why I find it a lot easier to DM as a 4th edition master.

1. Heh, battlemat was why I specified I cannot upload. My father threw a fit last time I did so, attributing his lag in WoW for it. Granted, his primary issue is security, he likes having control of the network, and is not a fan of uploading on sites and such.

2. lol, I've heard 4E is easier to DM for, but I don't have the DMG, and that aside, I want to help encourage activity on LEW. Learning to DM 4th edition doesn't help if I need to DM 3.5. ;)

Thanks for the reply though. If I could upload and such, I would.

The map itself needed me a bit of time to patch up, as the pdf show only room by room. So I edited it into Paint to put all room together, doing some cut/paste to create a few more corridor. Once I had a complete map, I just made a backup of it and with a copy of it, I put in black what the character have never seen.

Oh, another question, spurred by technical difficulties.

As I have mentioned before, due to technical stuff I can only access my email from a separate computer from the one I typically use. Well, the computer I can access my email from cannot access the internet as the family router died.

Is there an alternative method available for contacting judges for either PC or adventure approval?
