You could bring up that any wizard or sorcerer with a single reserve feat can do your main thing (unlimited blasting) as often as they want per day, for 6d6 damage, on top of all their more powerful one-off spell options. To add insult to injury, the reserve feats also give them +1 caster level with a certain energy type, are Supernatural abilities (thus no concentrations checks, no components, free to use in a grapple...), and...the character optimization boards STILL have near universal agreement that they're a waste of a feat!

Would that help your argument?

Ahahah yes, I guess that will be useful.

I don't know why he is so against this PrC...I mean, it's true one gains nice bonuses in just three levels, but someone that goes pure caster will beat the :):):):) out of me blindfolded going up in levels!

PS: I was thinking about opening a thread in the optimization board for feats, equipment and races as it seems that now I have decided my class, at least.
I want to change the race because I'll keep that idea for a binder or an incarnate!

Summon Elemental and Minor Shapechange are nice. The ones that deal damage are pretty meh though.

Damage wise, a raging barbarian or well built archer exceeds the amount of damage you can put out with Hellfire Warlock on a good day, assuming you can use the Hellfire Blast constantly and have 13d6 blast total. Now, you do shoot ahead if you can use Eldritch Glaive, but there's a simple counter to that: have the monsters move around so the warlock doesn't get full attacks.

A sorcerer with Scorching Ray deals a total of 12d6 damage at level 12, which is about the same as your Hellfire damage. Or cast Disintegrate, which deals 24d6 damage on a failed save. Or cast Flesh to Stone/Baleful Polymorph/Evard's Black Tentacles and make them just die/turn into dinner/hentai fodder.
