Sheng looks around, but his first attempts to find something of interest are fruitless. He's going to have to dig into the shelves and piles a little more thoroughly to get to the bottom of this mystery.

At long last, dwarf finishes reading and closes the book with a sigh like a student in a library who has an exam the next day and can't find the information he needs. Shrugging his facade of indifference, he now replaces it with frustration. He rounds on the five new arrivals, "Now will somebody mind telling me what is going on here!?" The little fellow puts his stout hands on his hips, "First, you are killing these things, and now you waltz in arm-in-arm like old friends!" He pauses and turns to Gensai, "Oh, and by the way, thanks for leaving me in that hole!" He then drills his eyes into them one at a time. Landing them last upon TikChik, the dwarf extends a thick, leathery hand, palm-up, "And, I would like my knife back now, if it is alright with you.", making it clear that it is not alright with him.

OOC: Please don't take the dwarf's first question as direction to narrate past events, so much as an opportunity to "break the ice". Focus more on your questions for him, and insight into where to go from here.

Sheng replies, with a hint of disgust in his voice. There were few things that enraged the monk as much as forced servitude.
He tried to remain concentrated, controlling his breading and opening his chakras, as he extends his foul magic, forming the now familiar green vapours, that float towards the library, attempting to unravel it's secrets for it's master.

Something the dwarf said was the trigger. Gensai had a woozy sensation and used a bookshelf to steady himself. In a rush, old memories, or rather someone else's memories, flowed like a font. After a moment of silent collection, Gensai spoke.

"I remember much of... Jin," he said. "You... You are Hankel Mast. Firebyrne has sent my masters to rescue you, in a way. Obviously, it has not gone as planned."
