Protagonists & Antagonists names

I think Maleficient is an excellent name for a wicked witch. It just sounds right for a villain.

What other fictional characters have the best, most fitting names?

Not fictional characters, but medicine has names for things that have pleasantly evil sounds :)

Nystagmus and Strabismus in medicine are disorders affecting the alignment of the eyes. But they sound like a great pair of twin villains, to me.

And, in veterinary medicine, horses can get a problem called "Fistulous Withers", which sounds like a very sketchy chancellor or senechal, or something....

Legend
Two of favorites are from Bond: Erst Stavro Blofeld & Auric Goldfinger.

I'm also fond of the pair from Blake's 7: Servalan & Space Commander Travis.

Is Ming the Merciless cheating?

Legend
Ebenezer Scrooge is rather a classic. It's hard to imagine a person lumbered with that name not growing up to be mean and callous.

Wizard or Artificer based on Blake's 7: Ensor
Other good Names: Kerr Avon, Del Varner (T. Nation did seem to like the DV and DT initials)

Snow Crash had the cringeworthy Hiro Protagonist.

Spawn had Malbolgia

Yxulna and Yzma work nicely for villains.

How about a hero named Halp? "Halp! HELLLLLP!!!"

I've never had trouble making up names for characters. Remembering them, maybe, but not making them up.
