The ladder groans a bit under the strain of Besharrn's powerful muscles, but it holds and the trapdoor is shoved upward. A cascade of rubble tumbles through the hole and a rock bounces off the half-orc's head (5 hp of damage). The falling rocks carom toward Dannis and Falco. (make a DC15 reflex save or take 5 points of damage as well)

A rush of wings comes next as a Stirge, this one much bigger than any you've yet encountered, hurtles down through the open trapdoor. It slashes at Besharrn as it passes, but in the confusion of falling rocks, dust and scrambling people the attack is way off. It banks tightly and prepares to swoop into another attack.

OOC: Initiative. If you beat a 15 you may act.

(Intimidate attempt, trying to make a stirge crap itself (1d20+8=19)) Besharrn's halberd not being available for use in this spot, he relies upon his short sword (short sword attack, damage (1d20+6=17, 1d6+2=6)).

OOC: [sblock]Your intimidate check is a standard action as is the attack. You can't do both. With a bonus to size for you being medium and the stirge being small you beat the DC for the demoralize check by 5 so it will be shaken for two rounds. Or you can keep the hit and do 6 damage. Which ever you choose, but not both in one round.[/sblock]

Dannis, keeping a watchful eye upward, easily sidesteps the falling rock and debris. At the sight of the stirge, the cleric's hand goes to the hilt of his scimitar.
