GM: Oh dear two natural ones in the same round. Such a bad run of luck deserves some special attention. I'll have to give it some thought.

As the buzzing critter circles Falco's head, he takes the Hanbo from his back and bats at the wretched thing but he loses his grip on the staff and it flies out of his hands narrowly missing Vadim.

Ignoring the wild hanbo, Vadim follows up his whiff with a much more solid blow, punching deep into the soft belly of the bloodsucking pest.

Besharrn swings his mighty halberd at the foe again, but has no luck whatever. Instead he bats Falco's loose Hanbo which whistles past Brendan's head spoiling whatever spell he was casting and flies away into the darkness.

With a determined look on his face, Dannis slashes at the stirge with his scimitar. This time, blade firmly in his control, he catches the critter with its well-honed edge. Gore flies and the creature falls from the sky to flutter at B'rii's feet still struggling to attack.

B'rri swings the sword again and lops off the over-sized Stirge's head.

A strange unearthly discordant note as from a flute sounds and cuts off abruptly in the distance. A few more bits of rubble tumble from the trapdoor above and then all is quiet again.

Falco

"Well...that was fun... I have a feeling that is one of the more minor critters here." Falco begins walking around the room looking for his 'flying' hanbo.

"Indeed," says Dannis, wiping the gore from his blade. "The sooner we figure out what is going on here and put a stop to it, the better."

The lost weapon seems to have tumbled out of a hole in the wall of the building in the nearby mess area.

OOC: X marks the site of the trap door you opened. The Hanbo went out of the building to the Northeast.

Falco moves to the hole the hanbo tumbled through. Disgusted at the forces working against him, he looks through the hole and gets back up and rejoins the group and says flatly, "I hate this place." "Let's see what's up that trap door shall we?"

OOC - does the hole remain on this level or open to something below?
