D&D 5E Useful Mobile Apps For 5e?

I am in the process of converting some APs from PF to 5e, and I realized that it would be amazing to have an app that would auto-calculate the conversions from PF to 5e. It could access the online OGL content and apply calculations on demand or, alternatively, make it a pre-built catalog of converted monsters.

Anyone want to help build this tool? I'm looking for an iOS programmer or Excel macro wiz!

I've been working on a mobile character sheet and character creator: Fifth Edition Character Sheet for both Android and iPhone/iPad.

Feedback is always welcome, so if you have any suggestions, comments, or feature requests, feel free to let me know.
This app really needs a better spell book, or even better, a way to import spells so you only need to write the spells once.

I downloaded and paid the in-app for full version of Fight Club 5 and went to the fb page where I found xml files that seem to work for everyone there but me. I am not that well versed in xml (don't know anything about it) but whenever I try and open an xml file in the app I get a parse Error. What am I doing wrong?

Clancey,

The files can be a little confusion, that is true.

First, I would download to Dropbox the spells XML file. In Fight Club, on the main screen there should be an icon of an open book. Select that icon and s Table of Contents screen appears. On the top right is a down arrow icon. Select that, then "Select file from DropBox." Navigate to the spells XML file and select it. This should import your spells.

From this TOC, you can import character related files this way. If that still doesn't work, then there may be an issue with your iPad/iPhone or the version of the app. Can you tell us what version of iPad/iPhone you have?

Thanks for the response. I finally found the solution - I was just downloading to my computer and then adding it to my dropbox and importing from there. I went back and downloaded the files directly into my dropbox and they imported just great.

Do you know of any new tutorials for this version? Somehow I got a hugely inflated dex modifier and can't figure out how to undo it. Doesn't help that I'm just getting into 5e after a 30 year absence from playing. Ah well, baby steps!

You need to check your class and race modifiers. Basically, you can modify your stats in lots of places, so you will have to look through them to find where you made your mistake.

This is a great app. Unfortunately it seems to have disappeared from the Google play store. What's the story there?
This is the absolute best IMO. Great balance of simplicity and functionality.

WotC takedown. I understand the reasoning but damn, I'd pay money for WotC to release something for real

Interesting. It's still available on the Apple store. I guess they just haven't gotten to it yet.

WotC should pay this guy for his app and release it themselves. It's strong. Some minor tweaks would be nice, but it does the job. Six of eight players/DMs at my table have it installed on one or more devices. I haven't had a paper character sheet in about 6 months because I use this app.
