Ahsoka - SPOILERS

Yeah, we are never going to agree on this. Andor was slow motion pretentious garbage, led by someone who doesn't know the difference between acting and mumbling.

I liked Andor but less than the internet did. And I like Obi Wan and Mando S3 more than the internet (they're not great or anything).

I didn't dislike Obi Wan or M3 either. They where a good-average for a long running series.

Andor I nearly gave up on. It was only the occasional burst of great acting from Skarsgard and Shaw that kept me watching.

That's.... that's a fair criticism. If you've never watched the cartoons at all, why would you care about Ezra really? We care because Sabine cares, but, it's never really shown what the link is between Sabine and Ezra.
For a show with so many minutes under it's belt, I don't think we really got to know much about any of the characters (maybe Huyang). What about Shin? She didn't get to do much apart from react and pull faces.

Even Ahsoka herself is largely defined by her relationship to Anakin.

I watched cartoons Zeb and Ezra were near the bottom of my favorite crew list.

Shows called Ahsoka not Shin Show.

She's a very interesting character along with Baylan. Who gets redeemed, who gets consumed or something different.

Find out season 2.

Probably didn't mind the pacing due to veteran of the NJO, Legacy and Fate of Jedi books. NJO was 20 odd books of boredom touching on force metaphysics.

Well, that was fun

Now this I find very hard to understand. You spent the time watching Ahsoka, but begrudge the time to watch what is basically the same thing but far superior.

Why do you hate animation so much?
It’s honestly not that hard to understand. Some of us just don’t engage with it. Different people like different brings. I also don’t much connect with jazz music, cricket, opera, or seafood. I’m sure other people think those things are wonderful. You think the cartoons are great; Indont. You don’t like Andor; I do. Does this really need an explanation? Not everybody is exactly like you. 🤷

I think you mistake your personal tastes for fact too much. We’re all different.

No, I get that. That's not an unfair criticism. They could have spent a lot more time developing the characters. I think the presumption was that most people who were watching had already been introduced to the characters through the animated shows. It's a tough needle to thread really. Do you assume that the audience knows nothing about the characters and has to be introduced to all of them fresh? Or do you assume that the audience is at least passingly familiar with the characters?

It's a choice.

I have to admit though, I thought most of the episodes could have used about ten more minutes. Why are Disney+ shows 40 (ish) minutes long? It's not like they need to make time for commercial breaks. Add in 10 or 15 minutes to each show and you'd be able to cover pretty much everything.

Disney shows are really expensive. Ahsoka was probably 200 million dollars Give or take.

Extra 10-15 minutes you're looking at a lot more money.

Show looked beautiful. Movie quality effects pretty much.

Comparatively cheap for 5ish hours of content relative to movies.

I just don't really see a difference between animation and live action. Moving pictures telling a story are moving pictures telling a story. Apart from in this particular instance, the animation is better.
