The fact that the referee can at any moment simply say “rocks fall, everyone dies” but doesn’t should be all the evidence you need that they are not out to get you.

That does not follow. They can still be out to get you and not do that for any number of reasons.

Don't think we're looking at the same posts, but I really want to say it's a bit.

It may start out as a bit, but there are some people who never seem to be able to break back out of their bit while online. Once they reach that point, I think it’s no longer a bit. It’s just them. The lunatic really has taken over the asylum.

Who would have thought it would be true after all these years, but some posters consistently remind me:

Basking, absolutely basking, in the schadenfreude.

When you become convinced that a poster on here is doing a bit, because the idea that they are a real person with such little self-reflection is just too much for you to consider.

Maybe they're a vampire... Are vampires even capable of self-reflection?

Yeah, that's a situation where that can be the best of some rather limited options. Being a third-rate archer is a bad choice for a mage, but its better than just standing around, and at the bottom of games in the D&D-sphere the gap isn't as noticeable as it'll be later.

In previous editions, I've usually had my mages well-stocked with oil, thunderstones, holy water and other artillery - for those times when if you want the bad guys all grouped up in fireball formation you just have to do it yourself. Battlefield control is often a lot more useful than just plinking something.

Given that tommy wiseau keeps making movies, i would say no

EDIT: "I'd like to report a collision"
"Okay sir, Did you get the other driver's info?"
"That would be hard since he flew away"
"He what?"

Man I miss oysters so much, the latest recall has made it so hard
Recall?

I love oysters and just had some last week (and they weren't very good, unfortunately - I'd hate for bad oysters to kill me. . . good oysters killing me I am more open to)
