If I can be really honest here, if they are searching a dungeon, why wouldn't they look around for traps? Isn't that part of the dungeon crawl? What you really should be doing is finding new and clever traps that they feel rewarded for disarming. But use traps sparingly and make them harder...

Of course, an even simpler way would be to find a race of outsiders and claim that one as your race, if it comes up at all. Perferably a good race. Just say you did it for the racials.

A boost to con would boost all relative stats, including fortitude. That save is based off your Con bonus, and if that bonus changes so would the save. Theres nothing "implied" there. Its outright stated in the most basic of rules.

Stayed ranged in combat at all times. Never go near the character. See how long you can keep that up. Its still a better suggestion than stating "change your alignment" at will. What with the whole concept of your character being to convince them to commit an evil act and all.

Given that the spell states it makes water suitable for drinking, but not just by you, you may need to do some spell research to make your own cantrip.
