Really easy solution: give them a companion character for one of the players to control. Make it cover a role they're lacking. A lot easier to make encounters for 4 "PCs" than three!

If you created your hybrid sorcerer in an older version using the playtest rules, it's quite likely you'll have to recreate it from scratch with the latest version.

It's not really surprising that Longtooth Shifting is 'strictly superior' than Melora's Tide, considering most racial encounter powers are better than most Channel Divinity powers as a whole. :P

Adventurers often take short rests after an encounter, but a short rest does not cause an encounter to end! It does that itself. :)
