I didn't see the other unique aspect of Demogorgon on the list. Dungeon 145, name of Khala. In City of Broken Idols. Also, they had stats for a deinosuchus (massive crocodile) in the same adventure.

So were we going to pick this up, using the Dragon Dukes as a closer reference point?

To be perfectly fair, +1 per associated level or +1/2 per unassociated level can only hold true for maybe 50% base advancement for creatures over 10HD. Which is why the final step of CR evaluation is to take a good hard look at your creature's capabilities.

This is the same guy who captured Elminster in El in Hell, so should we consider that book canon for this conversion?
