It is said that Lady Arilain, archwizard of Opus, learned of Karsus' plans to cast his destructive Karsus' Avatar spell. She went out the confront him and was never seen again. Does anyone know where to place the land (is it a land?) of Opus on the modern FR map?

Let's take a 5th lvl wizard. He can cast 1 3rd lvl spell (not take int bonus into account). He advances 1 lvl in a prestige class, and one of the features of that PrC is that every lvl he gets +1 of existing arcane spellcasting class. That means he can cast 2 3rd lvl spells, like a 6th lvl...

I agree with you on that Staffan, but since it isn't rewritten I still use the old version. I have nerfed it a bit myself. Summon Undead I = max 3 HD Summon Undead II = max 5 HD Summon Undead III = max 7 HD etc.

Monster Manual: Nine-headed hydra, Huge Magical Beast HP: 9d10+48 (97 hp) with a CON of 20 (=+5) Seems like 9 HD to me. OW wait....DOUBLE the remaining HD :confused: , hehe...my mistake ;) So, I need a huge creature with 4 HD! Let's see if I can find one (don't think so though :p )

No, I did that. A giant crocodile has a strength of 27, so a +8 modifier. Include the +3 BAB and you have an attack bonus of +11. At least that's how I created the guy :). Same with the lion and the leopard.

Ok, but apart from the SA's (which I did not use last session), what about attack bonusses and damage rolls? Are they ok?

So I had a D&D session yesterday and summoned some undead. These were the stats and creatures I used...I had the feeling they were way too powerful: Summon Undead I: (Medium) Leopard Skeleton: HP: 21 Initiative: +5 Speed: 40 AC: 17 (touch 15, ff 12) Full Attack: Bite +4 (1d6+3) and 2 claws +1...

OK, but how does the other summon undead work? Summon Undead I summons a medium-sized skeleton...but also 7 HD? Or less...?

I've searched these boards and the rest of the internet, but there's nowhere a list of monsters for Summon Undead available. I know that I can summon an undead of caster level +1 HD. But what about this? I am a 6th lvl necromancer and want to use Summon Undead III, so that means a huge skeleton...

And what if you have the potion on your belt (from the FRCS, so it's a free action grabbing it)....would you still draw an AoO? BTW: nice thread. It wasn't untill now that I realised my group has been handling potion all wrong for years now :confused:

You're PC's druid is probably the only character with a desent amount of ranks in survival. Make some use of that. Throw in some weird environmental things, which the druid can see as unnatural; he can 'read' some dangers in a bird's behaviour or something.

I do reward them in other ways. A paladin is MUCH more likely to get help from citizens and townrulers, etc. And most churches give paladins free potions of healing, holy water, etc. It's just a role-playing thing, that I make them abandon some of their wealth....my players know I would never...
