I'm also going to throw my support for Homlet. It's the classic. Wonderful and memorable NPCs make for a great starting base of operations for a long term campaign.
What I would do if I was running a published module as a sandbox campaign is to specifically tell the players that it's a sandbox.
I'd let them know that I'm not going to adjust the level of encounters to their current level. If they're 6th level characters and they run across a 3rd level...
We're not tracking XP, at least as far as I know. I believe the DM is leveling us up when the adventure calls for it. At least I think that's what he's doing. If that's the case, does PotA cap at 11th level? That's something that would be handy to know.
Just started a new PotA campaign and I'm looking for some character advice.
A bit of background information:
We've played two sessions right now and are all 2nd level. The DM has told us that we can re-make our characters before 3rd level without taking a level penalty so I'm taking the...
Can't really tell. But unless there have been massive cancellations between Q3 2013 and Q3 2014, the revenue stream would be fairly consistent between periods and would offset each other for variance analysis purposes.
I'm guessing that most of the DDI subscriptions are being maintained by...
I'm a manager of financial reporting and I write these things (10-Q's) for a living.
What Hasbro has to is explain the revenue variance between current period (Q3 and Sept 2014 YTD) versus prior year (Q3 and Sept 2013 YTD). Depending upon their auditors (I'm guessing Big 4 due to the size of...
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I thought about Lost Mines but it just doesn't speak to me in terms of what I'm looking for. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the way WotC modules are written nowadays. I'm more of a Basic and 1e module kind of guy.
The Hackmaster stuff sounds...
Does anyone have suggestions for a low level (starting at level 1) sandbox module? I was thinking of using Keep on the Borderlands but I think I wanted something with a bit more fleshed out non-combat pillars (exploration and interaction).
I'm also considering using the Village of Hommlett.
