Afternoon: Rocket Corps: Lost on Jupiter(Spirit of the Century)(FULL;ACCEPTING ALTS)

I had such a good time. Thanks for putting together and running a great game! I wrote a little bit about it on my journal. Take care! George

Morning: Off to School! (Game in a Jar)

Thank you! Tell Samantha that she ran - and designed! - a wonderful game. Pulling cards out of a Animal Crackers jar is priceless. I'll be sure to ask permission if I ever want to borrow that game mechanic. EDIT: I gave the game a rave review here: http://zoatebix.livejournal.com/29577.html...

    Agricola

Expecting some sheep, eh? At least you weren't expecting a game about the campaigns of Gnaeus Julius Agricola :p

Afternoon: Rocket Corps: Lost on Jupiter(Spirit of the Century)(FULL;ACCEPTING ALTS)

I was tempted by the siren song of a game I'd never played before Last Spring. Technically, though, I guess I've only ever GMed SotC...

If you're the superstitious-type, you could bring your own set of four Fudge dice (or make your own!). Barring that, I actually carry around a box of 20 fudge dice for occasions like this :p Truthfully though, I think Psion will provide everything we need. By the way- sign me up, please...

A jesus fish for role players

http://go-play.org/ A link, a very palpable link. (green means go plus the universal "play" symbol from consumer electronics= go play)

Summer 2008 Game Challenge: Participate! Volunteer to Judge!

Visit us at http://summer2008rpgchallenge.ning.com/ So, influenced by the "start at any time" spirit of 24 Hour RPG, I convinced a few friends to all make their own RPGs in a format similar to Game Chef. Somehow, I got motivated enough to make a dedicated site for it. Its URL appears above...

4th Edition and the Immortals Handbook

Ah, the age-old Sorting Algorithm of Evil problem :p If playing with 4e's pace of advancement is something you find interesting (and the GSL isn't too onerous about that kind of thing) go for it! I do think Alzrius is on to something, though.

"Witch" as a gender-neutral term worked quite well in both Arcana Unearthed/Evolved and The Mountain Witch.

What traditional pulp adventure RPGs are out there?

Raise Thread! That's good to hear. Reading the HEX rules, and even one of the examples of play, turned me off to the game, even though game designers with their own Pulp games have talked it up (I'm 99% sure I'm thinking of SotC co-author Fred Hicks showing some love for HEX). And since...
