Sacred Stone Monastery, Day 7, Late Evening

You head back down the stairs and towards the tomb, taking the left passage that you are fairly sure heads west, further under the monastery. Keeping close to the left wall you move and carefully as you can given that two of you are completely blind in the total darkness. The tunnel quickly narrows and bends and curves often, with frequent dead ends and forks. The tunnels are all rough hewn and unfinished, like they were following a vein of ore. For the most part they are just wide enough for one person and often low enough to make you bend or even crouch. When you reach a dead end you have to turn around and go in reverse marching order as there isn't enough room to pass each other.

It's apparent that you are in an old mine, though this part appears to have long been mined out.

GM: Hopefully I've understood this correctly. You're heading back down the stairs and going old school - "Follow the left wall" Check the attached map for a note.

You can spend as much time as you like exploring this, though you will need a survival check to avoid getting lost for every 30 mins you spend there. The longer you spend there the more likely you are to find something (good or bad).

"In the main part of the monastery, we wanted to be as stealthy as possible, but since this part seems much more deserted, maybe it would be sensible to use some lights?"

Ilvellios doesn't mind either way, but focuses on remembering the way back and using his elven senses to their fullest extent.

OOC:
If we encounter a monster in the dark, we could get in each others way and be at a big disadvantage.

GM: Ooops, sorry, I just re-read my post and relised that with the last sentence of the large paragraph I made it sound like the whole passage ends in a dead end. I meant that as a description of how tight things were - but that was a really bad place to put that sentence - so sorry for the confusion.

It's a large confusing tangle of tunnels with lots of dead ends.

After about half an hour of stumbling through the old mine you come across a wider corridor. Keeping to the left you come to a junction that ends in a heavy wooden door which you quickly work out is the door to the guard room. You must have taken a long loop around the stairs and are coming in from the south.

Farther down the corridor that you were following you can hear snoring and just about make out three wooden doors.

Next to the first door, Ilvellios softly lowered himself to the floor, looking for a gap between the floor and the door. Then he stood up again and quietly tested the handle, checking if the door was locked..

OOC:
is there any light coming from the openings around door A? With darkvision, can he see into the room through the gap?
