I like most of these more than the original. That black and white one near the start is awesome.

I wanted to see what DALL-E would do with a cameo pendant, well the results were stunning on the first try. All four images below were my first tries.

NATURAL LANGAUGE PROMPT: Square. A cameo pendent with the carved bust of a teifling. Purple background with creamy white for the bust.

Here are my Teifling Cameos.
1699212889495.png1699213018059.png

GENERATED PROMPT FOR IMAGE 1: A digital illustration of a cameo pendant featuring the carved bust of a tiefling, with horns curving elegantly from the head. The pendant's background is a rich purple, providing a striking contrast to the creamy white of the bust. The tiefling's expression is poised and regal, gazing slightly upwards, exuding a sense of otherworldly grace. The cameo is set in a simple yet elegant silver frame that catches the light, adding a subtle sparkle. The pendant appears as a detailed piece of jewelry against a shadowy backdrop that fades into darkness, focusing all attention on the cameo itself. Light reflects softly off the smooth surfaces of the carving, highlighting the intricate details and the soft gradient of purple to white.

NATURAL LANGAUGE RE-PROMPT: Using the form of the original prompt, change the subject to Queen Tatiana of the Summer Court. Luminescent green background with creamy white for the bust.

And here are my Queen Tatiana Cameos

GENERATED PROMPT FOR IMAGE 1: A digital painting of a cameo pendant showcasing the elegant bust of Queen Tatiana of the Summer Court, a figure of elvish royalty. Her visage is serene with a soft smile, and her hair is adorned with summer blooms. The background of the cameo is a luminescent green that radiates a gentle light, contrasting beautifully with the creamy white of Tatiana's likeness. The pendant is framed in finely wrought gold that glimmers with a warm luster. This piece of jewelry is set against a backdrop that suggests a midsummer night, with soft-focus greenery that enhances the ethereal quality of the pendant. The lighting in the scene is like that of a clear summer dawn, casting a gentle illumination that enhances the cameo's translucence and the fine detailing of Tatiana's regal features.

Interesting. I think I still like the original best. I can't quite get the hair* right. I tried adding "frizzy" which doesn't seem right but it did give me this gem:

As with a sun blade, I'm struggling to also get DALL-E to give me a scythe with a blade of pure light rather than a colored bit of metal. It did give me one or two that were close but mostly it doesn't. At least it seems to (mostly) know what a scythe looks like! (I guess in game terms, it would have to be a glaive, though, since there isn't a scythe on the 5e weapons table).

I'm also leaning towards conquest paladin for this character mainly because death clerics don't get heavy armor proficiency (even if they do get a Reaper class feature).

*I'm fairly certain the death giant reaper's hairstyle would be classed as a mullet, but I can't get the algorithm to get it quite right. The closest real world example I can think of is the 70s/80s "rocker mullet" sported by the likes of Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) in This is Spinal Tap. When the Create button turns pink again, I'll try words to that effect.

Then I tried halfling to see what would show up. In this case, halflings haggling in a fantasy market. This is what Bing thinks halflings look like and I'm all for it, though perhaps as gnomes.

Ooooooo, boy howdy, those images for haggling in the market would not make ot past a sensitivity reader for publishing. Oy vey...

But you can play a "half-giant" or Goliath... you just have to rejigger the description of what a goliath looks like and...

NATURAL LANGUAGE PROMPT: Full-length portrait. death giant reaper. a female D&D goliath, she has gray skin and black hair in a Betty Paige hair style. She is wearing black plate armor with a skull design on the chest plate.

Death Giant Reaper-2.png

GENERATED PROMPT FOR 1st IMAGE: A full-length portrait of a female D&D goliath embodying the figure of a death giant reaper, with imposing gray skin and jet-black hair styled in a sleek Betty Paige cut. She stands in a powerful pose, brandishing a massive scythe that seems to whisper of oblivion. The black plate armor she wears is meticulously detailed, with a menacing skull embossed on the chest plate. Behind her, a tumultuous sky roils with dark clouds, hinting at a tempest brewing, the lighting casting an eerie glow that reflects off her armor, highlighting its sinister design. Drawn with an illustrative style that captures the fantasy essence and the gritty atmosphere of a battle-scarred realm.

Still no rocker mullet but I quite like this one:

_bd133455-bd28-43bb-bdd8-ea9ef273d70e.jpg

Prompt: A full length low angle portrait of a tall menacing beautiful gorgeous strong female elf warrior woman in heavy plate armor and black leather boots. She has straight dark hair worn in a 1970s rocker mullet style. She stands with one booted foot braced on a rock. She holds an upright scythe with a magical glowing lavender blade. She faces the viewer. The background is dark and misty with a lavender glow. Acrylic painting on black canvas.

EDIT: It would appear that the death giant reaper's artist didn't get the memo that death giants have "shriveled bodies" with "deep-purple complexions" or that the reapers "wear armor that resembles the carapaces of giant insects". I wonder what DALL-E can do with that.
