    Does this work?

Since peristent and extend both go off duration, does that mean that you would rule against an extended time stop as well? I have taken this in one of my 10th level slots for our epic campaign, and no one seems to think it's overpowered.

    Death and Spells.

There's already been a huge thread about that. If spells continuously check their target after they are cast, then Shillegah never works.

Boccob's Blessed Book and Cost per Page

Just as point of interest, in a recent dragon, they did spellgems, which contain one spell, and allow the soreceror to use the spell as if it were in their spells known as long as they carry the gem. Priced the same as a pearl of power.

Boccob's Blessed Book and Cost per Page

Per the GM, I paid scroll prices. The "access fee" is an option the GM can allow. If your GM allows the PCs to simply copy from other spellbooks, than BBB is perhaps not as necessary. But I paid full scroll price for every spell.

Boccob's Blessed Book and Cost per Page

The book is necessary. I was allowed to stat out a 19th level wiz for my epic campaign, and use 19th level wealth. Giving my character a MODEST spell selection cost me 90,000 gp, and that's with BBB. If I hadn't had it, that would have cost me upwards of 150,000. A class that needs to burn...

    "Blank slate" healer

You could always just use the rules for having an godless priest. After all, what god you worship is largely relevant to role-playing anyway. Just choose 2 domains, and say they represent your character's specialization. Instead of praying in the morning, he meditates for an hour to center...

    Rerolls

Races of destiny also has some racial feats that eventually grant rerolls.

    Alter Self suggestions?

Lizardfolk and troglodyte are both good for nat armor bonus. Locanth gives decent (+3) natural armor, and a swim speed of 60ft. Good for underwater.

    3.0 Shapechange

Since you're playing 3.0, shapechange is even more godly (I still think it's a great spell in 3.5, even with the HD nerf). If your DM lets you cherry-pick monsters from any book, the chronotyn is pretty uber. Also, solars have high stats, good regen, DR, and SR, and since they're humanoid, all...

    Wizards - Too Powerful?

I currently play in an epic campaign as a wiz 8/Fatespinner 5/Initiate of the 7 veils 7. I designed my character as an ultimate defensive caster. With int 33, she can throw up veils that create a save DC 29-or-die effect on anyone who attacks her. And once or twice a game, using sudden...

What kind of cracked out spell is this?

Also, AR does not affect a creature. I think that counts in its favor. No spell turning, no rod of absorbtion. It's doesn't actually target anything, which means you don't even need line of effect, just line of sight. You can assay resistance on a creature in an antimagic field, or behind a...

    Deepwood sniper conversion?

As I recall from MotW, the deepwood sniper also gets cover reduction. You should probably change this, since it went by percentages. I suggest granting the precise and improved precise shot feats instead, maybe at levels 5 and 10 respectively. Other than that, the class can pretty much stay...

    Gate, Shapechange and Disjuction

If it just suppresses items, it'll get used in every battle. If I know I am guaranteed not to destroy any precious loots, as a wizard, I'd always be packing it. It's like an unstoppable area effect dispel that gets everything.

    Temporarily suppress immunity?

Does it have to be negative levels? You would say they damaged the warforge's internal mechanisms, or (better yet), they placed some sort of inhibitor device inside him. Then, when the characters recover the key, they could find out how to disarm that as well.

Combatting Force Effects (Cube/Wall of Force and Forcecage)

How 'bout a couple beholders? They laugh at force cage and wall of force. They get 10 eye rays a round, and one of those rays can simply disentigrate a forcecage or wall of force, while leaving 9 left over for misc mayhem. A sorceror with the disentigrate spell can do about the same...

Anybody know prestige class with Scent ability?

Horizon Walker from DMG you can get Blindsight around level 6. There's also a prestige class in races of the wild that lets you get scent, can't remember it off the top of my head. Dragon disciple gives you blindsense I believe.

    Advanced Astral Deva

To provide me with a candidate for Greater Planar Ally, my DM has instructed me to create an Astral Deva advanced to 18HD. For the most part (skill points, feats, saves) this is fairly simple. But 2 questions nag at me: 1. Should spell-like abilities be advanced to 18th caster level as...

    Assay Resistance?

Level 4, I don't think there are any remarkable material components (i.e. should be covered by buying your spell components bag). I don't recall the spell letting you know about a creature's resistances, I think it just gives you +10 to beat the SR of a specific creature for 1rd/level.

    Polymorph

Doesn't that take us back into the territory for Shillegah? Does the spell continually check it's target's original type? Because I don 't think that polymorphing someone into a giant would get rid of a domination effect on them, but that's the same logic. Humanoid... spell checks target...

Need Dragon Discple PRC only w/ Celestials

If you mean that they will take on the 1/2 celestial template at the end of the class, you may have to do that yourself. Just remember, the 1/2 celestial template is +4 LA, more than the half-dragon. So you may have to have them lose the 'bonus spells' feature of dragon disciple, and just...
