Thanks for the comments. Like the other two I'm not sure what you mean by called shots, it would be great if you could explain a little. Also he's using a short sword in in primary hand and a dagger in his off hand. He has Weapon Finesse and improved initive, but no crit boosters.

He is looking at taking a few levels of swashbuckler, so I'll push that idea a little more. Also excuse my ignorence but what does TWF stand for?

Yes to both of those. But he is thinking of re-training and getting rid of improved initive and taking weapon focus to get into the invisible blade PrC. I think it's a bad idea but it's his character. Improved invisibility would be great, and I'll be giving the wizard the oppurtunity to get it...

That is possibility, but from a RP perspective he isn't really the leadership type. One of the other PCs might be though.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've had a chat to the player and had a think about what's been said here. I think I'll give the player a lead on the band of orcs who killed her lover. When the player gets back it will be a nice in to the next stage of the campaign.

Fair call. You've obviously had players dip out for a bit and then come back. Generally what do they do while not actively taking part?
