I'd take this with a grain of salt. They did this over on the WotC forums and got similar yet still quite different results. Grayhawk was much less popular, and Eberron and FR were the top two in that order IIRC. That said, I like all these settings with the exclusions of the more generic ones...

Well said Pat. I played D&D once. It led me into a war of ideals that spanned universes and consisted of demonic vitriol. It sucked me into this war, and I defied God by participating. They call it the "Edition Wars."

Numanera might well reach the scale of CoC, Exalted, Shadowrun, etc. It's raised about as much as those books sell, especially in this amount of time, maybe more.

No, my point is it kills any hope of a good thief. Each class is expected to act one way, and if they don't, they are penalized.

Actually, that's my whole beef: the Honor system. It's incredibly restrictive. A thief must "look out for number one" or lose honor. Yes, you are dishonorable if you help your allies. Plus, you must strictly follow every bit of your incredibly vague alignment, which each person interprets...
