D&D General Which edition of D&D did you grow up with?

I carried that red Basic set everywhere. I can still pick out each of the dice that came in it from my now-large dice bag. I remember reading it over and over and over. I was so excited to get each successive set, all the way up to Immortal. I cannot believe that I sold them all when the Rules...

D&D 5E What type of D&D sourcebooks do you miss from older editions?

Honestly, if WOTC published an official product monthly, I'd buy them all. Setting books, box sets, guides, whatevs. They're all awesome.

D&D General 40 Million People Have Played D&D [UPDATED!]

However you parse the numbers, it's clearly a great time for D&D! Not only does it feel that more and more people are enjoying it, it also seems to be a period if critical and creative success. I'm excited about that! Hoping it bodes well for further expansion of the edition into settings.

D&D 5E D&D Promises to Make the Game More Queer

Love this. D&D manages to lead the way again. I fully support the WOTC team putting efforts towards making the game clearly and boldly open and welcoming to all. If someone doesn't like it, they can play it however they want at their table. Sent from my SM-G935V using EN World mobile app

Dragonlance [+] Why do you love Dragonlance?

Those first three novels were just so satisfying. Sure, the characters were sorta derivative. But the story was immensely enjoyable, the characters were compelling and likable, and the magic of the world stayed with many of us well into adulthood. Sent from my SM-G935V using EN World mobile app

UA Ranger Companion Proficiency Bonus Question

I have a fifth level ranger with a panther companion, Beast Conclave. In the keeping track of proficiency call out box it says that the proficiency bonus applies to attack bonus and damage rolls. Does that mean that the +4 to hit on bite and claw attacks are both +7, adding the +3 proficiency...

How often should PCs level up?

The DM ruining the 5e campaign I'm playing in has a unique way of having us level. If you attend and survive a session, you get 1 XP. Once your total XP equals your current level number (i.e., 2 XP at level two, 3 XP at level three), you level up. We play twice a month. So the first few levels...

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

I think seeing new materials from the older settings with the art direction of 5e would be really cool. But not if they can't really afford to do it in their business model.

Stated Level Ranges in 1e and 2e Modules

Wow. That's complicated! I lost track of D&D between 2e and 5e. Now they do adventure paths. Did that older style die long ago, or only in recent years?

Stated Level Ranges in 1e and 2e Modules

This might be a dumb question, but when the old modules said "For four characters levels 5-10," did that mean they should start at level 5 and will progress to 10 during the adventure? I'm guessing not, given how short they were. But there's a big difference between level 5 and level 10...

STOKED. I played the original module back in the day. Hope it recreates the classic feel.

Mike Schley's MASSIVE Forgotten Realms Map From SCAG!

God some people complain about everything. Thanks, Mike, for your work and dedication. I'll happily pay you for a digital version of the map, over and above what I paid for the printed book. Support artists. Buck up, buttercup.

D&D 5E Why I believe these survey's are worthless but not useless?

They seem pretty honest to me. I don't buy this theory, sorry.

D&D 5E The use of Monster Stat Blocks in Adventures

I'd buy monster cards for each adventure. Picture on one side, stats on the other. Like spell cards.

D&D 5E Artist Mike Schley running a sale on all digital artwork (including adventure maps)

I've never understood why people assume that freelancers are raking in the dough. Also, the pervasive sense of entitlement for free digital content is tiresome.
